Campaign for Child Labour Free Bricks launched in Kolkata ... !
The Child Labour Free Bricks Campaign launched in December 2018 in Kolkata. It has 4 main focuses :

To identify and promote brick kilns where the owner does not employ children, and to find customers who pledge to buy bricks only from such CLFB sources.

To do research on the brick industry and employment issues, with a view to improve the conditions of adult workers and reduce, then finally eliminate children below 14 years from work at kilns.

To facilitate partners such as local NGOs to provide child education at kilns as long as it may be needed.

To network widely and disseminate information to all interested persons and institutions, so as to further the above aims 1 – 3.
The Campaign is run by Civil Society Groups & Friends.
